*** 28th April 2013 - Going back to 'ask first' for a little while. If this results in a lot of mooches I will have to delay posting some as I only have a limited budget for postal costs. I will not send more than 3 or 4 books outside Europe each month. Please bear this in mind when mooching *** A few things to note.... I won't send hard backed books overseas as it's too expensive. I usually send overseas books by surface mail - this means I can send more for the same money as airmail but it will mean a delay of weeks or even months in you getting your book. The exception to this is Europe where it is either cheaper or no difference in price to send airmail. If a book I've mooched doesn't fit through the letterbox I have to collect it from the local sorting office on a Saturday (unless it's school hols then I can get there any day). This is usually fine for me but occasionally I have other plans and it may be a week or two before I can collect it and acknowledge receipt of the book. My account is usually set to 'ask first' as occasionally I may need to restrict the amount of mooches I commit to. I would appreciate it if people would respect my wishes and not simply mooch without asking. From time to time I may need to set my account to 'my country only', usually if I have too many points or things are a little tight money-wise. My work hours sometimes restrict my access to the local post office (which only operates part time). I could use the Royal Mail online postal services but choose not to as I want to support the rural post offices as much as possible - too many are closing in this area of the UK as it is! I have a high cancellation rate as I sometimes participate in the Bookmooch clean-up project - please feel free to check my account statistics and mooch details. If I delay a mooch it's for a good reason and I will make every effort to keep you informed. I always post the mooches I accept.
