If no condition is noted in my book, it means it has no clear flaws (rips, tears, stains, highlighting), but it is a used book and probably looks it. If a book is in really good condition, worthy of collecting, I will note it. Whenever I finish a book, I note the date and my location on the title page, so you can reasonably expect that to be in a book mooched from me, even if it's not mentioned in the condition notes. Any other writing will be noted. (Nowadays as I become a better moochee I'm not doing that if I know I'm going to put a book back in the inventory.)

I recycle packaging. Old padded envelopes if I have them, but a lot of the time I just use brown paper. If you are concerned about damage in transit, let me know, and I'll make sure your book is packed and padded carefully. My assumption, however, is that you just want a book to read.

I don't have pets or smoke, but I did, a few years ago, have a roommate with a cat, so it's possible, although unlikely, that there might be some stray fur.

I used to be pretty good about getting books out fast, but I just changed jobs and don't have as much time for the post office anymore, so please be patient if you mooch a book from me.
