Tereasa (USA: TX) (2007/05/14): This book is well worth reading and is an excellent choice for a book club. It is much easier to understand current African society in the context of this book. The tribes used to have social, religeous, authoritarian and moral structure. If this is all abruptly taken away, what framework do the people have to guide their lives? How do we learn right from wrong? What consequences do we expect for behaviour? What motivates people? This is a very well written, engaging and thought provoking book!
Tara (USA: WA) (2008/02/28): Fabulous book - a must read!
Presque Noire (USA: VA) (2010/08/13): This is a wonderful book, on a foreign culture we are rarely exposed to.
