Pretentia (South Korea) (2008/09/02): "Kit Tyler knows, as she gazes for the first time at the cold, bleak shores of Connecticut Colony, that her new home will never be like the shimmering Caribbean islands she has left behind. She is like a tropical bird that has flown to teh wrong part of the world. And in the stern Puritan community of her relatives, she soon reels caged as well, and lonely. In the meadows, the only place where she can reel completely free, she meets another lone and mysterious figure, the old woman known as the Witch of Blackbird Pond. But when their friendship is discovered, Kit faces suspicion, fear, and anger. She herself is accused of witchcraft!"This is a great young adult book that deals with acceptance, love, loyalty, and other popular young adult themes.. but the author handles it with finesse and skill. It was a wonderful read.
JennJiHyun (Philippines) (2010/11/16): A fantastic romantic story. The love part was so subtle that the effect was so dreamy. I am not a fan of love stories but I'd like to classify this book as that, then I'd have three books under this category which I liked: Pride and Prejudice A Walk to Remember The Witch of Blackbird Pond :)
