Tracy (Japan) (2008/10/15): I've read a few other Iris Johansen books, at least one of which was an Eve Duncan novel. I've enjoyed every one - strong but flawed characters, exciting plot and tense moments. No, not great (or realistic) literature, but a really fun, suspenseful read.
This book introduces Montalvo - a criminal with a code of honour, a man with a 'bone to pick' (so to speak). He'll make you drool. He certainly has Eve thinking of her options...
bookworm66 (USA: OK) (2010/08/17): I highly recommend it if you like suspense. I have read several books by this author with this character and read more when I find them.
