William Bebout (USA: KY) (2009/02/06): I wanted to like this because my wife recommended it to me. Personally I did not find it entertaining. There were some redeeming factors with the kill scenes but the fashion discussions and observations, the music reviews and equipment reviews added nothing to the story and only served to drag it down. There was no climactic point in the book and the ending was a letdown. Sean (USA: WA) (2009/07/18): I liked this book a lot, though it was very graphic. It had a very strong tone to it that grated against the movement and action of the book, but because of the action of the book. The characters are suit-and-ties, very business-minded and competitive, and very sexist and silently violent. For all of that content, the idea of the book is the exposition of that world, showing it for all of its horribleness. Sometimes difficult to read but worth the read.
