My Second Heimat: Recipes Please put in your second-homeland recipe(s), and, if you please, the story behind it, around it, or of your second homeland. It could be a recipe(s) you found while in your second homeland (Heimat), it could be a recipe from your (first) homeland that has conquered the members of your new. My second homeland is Dresden, Germany. As a baker, I found that a few of my imported, American baked goods (which lacked the proper words for translation) were prized by my new countrymen, were new to my new countrymen and won them over, from stomach to heart. Therefore, please, share your second Heimat recipes and the stories that surround them. When this journal is complete please reserve it for me and I will mooch it back from you.
